U.S. Passport laws are changing beginning January 23rd, 2007. Starting from then on, individuals will require a valid passport to travel ANYWHERE outside of the United States! The new legislation is expected to greatly increase the number of U.S. passports.

"Under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)" The proposed implementation timeline has two phases:

* Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.

* As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S . and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security.


If you're one of the many americans who doesn't yet have a passport but want freedom of travel, then just apply online for your U.S Passport! It's really easy, and can be done from the comfort of your own home VS days of waiting in line at the passport offices!
